Foreign direct investment (FDI) screening is a hot topic when dealing with non-EU investors making transactions in the EU. The EU and local governments regulate certain non-EU direct investments. The investor can receive a fine if they do not comply with the FDI screening regulation, or – depending on the jurisdiction – the transaction may be null and void.
This webinar will focus on the screening for FDI under EU law, as well as considering FDI laws in practice in Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
